Hi , my 175 conversion pinks like mad at 45mph plus . Timings set 16 degrees just checked with compression tester 175psi :o . squishe is only .85 so will add .5 to base or head (dont run ahead gasket at the moment). Hi, my series 2 side panels and legshield are from vietnam, wrapped in local news papers . Not sure if they were from ssc but fit was very good . Maybe all these panel are from one factory . John

Hi , springs facing crank , also did leak test using inner tube spark plug was only obvious leak . Suspect seals as i say no draw at carb when turning over. John

Hi, well here goes i built my engine from bare case, spec is 175 iron cylinder scootopia 22 carb and clubman, sil electronic ignition . Hi, if it was me i would replace plastic tool box with a metal one . Cut and weld and save your plastic box .

Hi, my guess would be petrol spitback in the inlet hose . Do you turn off petrol before stopping engine ? . Maybe your 175s porting causing more spitback than your old 150 .
