Re: white smoke.

Yes, drive side oilseal usually. Take out the gearbox filler plug and tip the scooter over. If you get fluid comes out and it smells of petrol then seal is damaged. If there's no geabox oil to be found the seal is fooked becuase the engine is burning it all. The only other common thing that causes t...

Re: SIP- Tyres and Rims

I bought a couple of pre-assembled rims and tyres for the pig. I have two problems - 1. I tried to get some goop in but spilt more than I managed to get in the wheel - is there a trick to getting this in? I took the cores out before any one asks... 2. Once I took the cores out it was obvious one of...

Re: The various costs of building a ‘dream’ Lambretta……

Brand new GT200 case £515 ;) Yes, that's no longer the price - Rich keeps including more stuff in the kit so the price gets adjusted upwards. Up to date info on this link http://scooterotica.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=37158 Yes I know... I know you know, but do those not in the know know? :)

Re: Kangarooing in 5th.

If you have cabling set up so 5th is past 4th on the bars then you can have the problem that the clutch cable is getting trapped inside the headset by the alloy gearchange.

Try adjusting the cables so 5th is in the 4th gear position on the headset and see if that helps.

Back to the plot - Scomadi 125s won't go faster until they get a gear kit, but now it's coming... http://www...

Re: Mrb Racetour kit

That adaptability is one of the best features of the kit. 4 exhaust studs is a great idea (Ancillotti did it in the 60s) and any kit manufacturer NOT doing it now needs a kick up the arse for being so backwards.

Re: AF road cassette clutch

Hello, Just bought one and the cassette doesn't move very well in the crown wheel. Is it best to needle file the ears of the cassette or the crown wheel so that the cassette slides up and down easier? If it is too loose does it cause problems? Thanks. It could be simply that the plates aren't align...
