Sorrow for indirect answer, but have you thought about welding it? Might be worth trying some of those low temperature aluminium welding rods. its quite thin and they are made of a kind of white metal think known as Mazak im not sure you can weld it , theres a pic i posted on the eibar winter model...

Yes, I changed the varitronic on mine based on this.

All I can say about aluminium 186cc cylinders with steel liners is that every one I have had my hands on have had really bad ports, especially exhaust which can only be cured properly by using a 60mm or longer crank, plus packers, port work etc. I'd save money by buying rt195.

I managed to bend my chrome ring down a couple of mm. I broke one original one trying this as I levered in the middle of the 'span', if you know what I mean. Second attempt was ok.

It's basically the same carb with a smaller body.

Phbl is normally 25mm although 24mm is available.

Phbl is larger body in 26, 28 and 30mm variants.
