Re: Suzuki 190

using your 175 barrel and boring it to use the 64mm suzuki piston is a good move, the jap piston and rings are very good, and as you have said you will be able to use your original head as well, a little bit of port work will give good results, as will setting the squish, you may have to cut the sk...

your 190 head should be re profiled to suit a suzuki piston so will not work with a tv piston
I think he's got a 175 kit now, but every chance the head will still needc to be profiled. Depending how fussy you are and how far out it is.

Re: Suzuki 190

Great advice thank you. Would I need 1st oversize? Depends what you have now. It might be better to get af to do it. They'll rebore it, supply the piston and make sure they match up. Then you can just tickle the ports and Bob's your uncle. I think af do suitable mahle ones for around 40 quid. They'...

Re: Suzuki 190

thanks that sounds like a potential option. Would I need to do anything to my 175 barrel for it to work with the 60mm stroke /115mm crank? that previous owner had fitted Not necessarily, you could get a 30mm crown height, 62mm piston; in other words tv175. Or you could use 8mm of base packing. That...

Re: Suzuki 190

When I ran the 175 barrel with the 20mm carb it was really nice but just needed a tiny bit more and I was wondering would this be a reasonable route to go? If you just need a tiny bit more, why not raise the exhaust 5 or so degrees, same with the inlet, put on a 22mm carb and optimise squish etc. I...

Re: Problems with BEEDSPEED???

What a great analogy, so very apt though. Ive always thought they could easily double their sales overnight simply by having an e-comerce site. I agree. Recently I waited an hour or so while they rebored a barrel for me. The phone didn't ring once. Not a single time. I reckon they must have it in s...

I use AF Rayspeed.
Difficult at times to get hold of on the phone.
But very friendly and very helpful when you go into the shop.
They will explain most things and offer advice.
Yes, helpful bunch. Just a bit like catching steam with a net.
