Re: PHBH Carb Question

The face in your photo goes upwards. Otherwise you get fuel starvation when you rag it; alright when pooling or short term WOT, like as dyno. But if you're WOT FOR a mile or so, it will empty the fuel chamber.

Re: PHBH Carb Question

Not essential. I fitted one upside down once and it took me weeks to work out why it wasn't running right. Took it out completely after advice from more knowledgeable bloke. Ran perfect and still does.

Re: Troubleshooting inboard semi-hydrolic

If you can't pull it more than half way, then it doesn't need bleeding.

Re: Troubleshooting inboard semi-hydrolic

Have you tried the brake on the road, maybe the pads just need bedding in. The disc brakes on my pedal bike were appalling when I first got it. My last 3 have had discs and the previous 2 were good from the start. I spoke to the shop who advised bedding in by hard braking without coming to a stop..i...

Re: Inboard disc

I've got hydraulic inboard. Don't really rate it. Although to be fair, the pads have only done about 10 miles so they're not bedded in yet.

You've got to wonder what you have to do to get blacked flagged these days.
Grabbing another riders brake lever is a good place to start.
That was considered high jinx at one time. Well at club racing level anyway.

Shouldnt be hard to extend the lead. Its only 2 core wire isnt it?
You can't just extend thermocouple cables or you get incorrect readings due to the tiny voltage created across the junction of the joint. Special extensions which compensate are available. Should be easy to find on eBay etc.

Re: BGM or ??

Defo go for the Ron Moss ex-box just took my BGM off and its reviving out more cleanly now What sort of revs are both pipes getting to? My ex box revs past 9000rpm but peaks at 6500. I think the peak is early due to ignition retard. My old bgm peaked at 7000 but I can't honestly remember how far it...

Re: BGM or ??

Bgm is good enough and cheaper. I'd tend to want an ex box on a high reving, high capacity motor because of the larger tail pipe. Otherwise I'd stick with bgm.
