Re: TV175 2nd series light switch housing

Thanks for the confirmation. Quite disapointing for a manufacturer who claims to produce high-grade products and to give the best service and the highest quality at the best prices. According to the shop where I bought it it is within the normal tolerance range... Repair will be probably difficult. ...

TV175 2nd series light switch housing

Hello, The light switch housing of my TV175 2nd series is cracked. So I bought a Casa replica housing to replace it. Unfortunately the screw holes turn out to be misaligned. Consequently only one of the two screws can't be fully attached and there is a gap. This made me wonder if the steering and ho...

Re: porting/tuning newbie / guide to homebrew tune

I have read your topic with interest. Your search for knowledge is very inspiring. I admire your courage to do it yourself instead of leaving it to the experts, who probably also learned it the hard way. Can you share your experience of how you actually did the job. What was the port timing you fina...

Re: Thirsty TV175

I bought it about 10 years ago from a man who did a cosmetic restoration. He had several Lambretta's and never ran it because it was not registered yet. The scooter was not running. At the time I bought an old barge to build a houseboat so the scooter was left like it was until last year. I got it r...

Re: Thirsty TV175

The timing at tick over was changed from 23 to 25 degrees.
Today I installed the 5899-2 atomizer I received from Allstyles. No big improvements yet.
The next thing on my list to change is the exhaust...

Re: Thirsty TV175

I made the adjustment of the ignition timing. No improvement on fuel consumption nor top speed yet.
I am still waiting for the supplies of Allstyles. I hope the atomizer will make the difference.

Re: Thirsty TV175

I don't have the right atomiser, any advise how to get it. I tried at Scooter Centre, they don't sell it because they don't have a supplier. Does anyone know/can explain if the use of atomiser 5899/1 in stead of 5899/2 could cause the heavy consumption and low performance. The casa ignition is like ...

Thirsty TV175

Is there anyone who can advise what to do. I have a TV175 2nd series. Standard head and cast iron cylinder, Casa Lambretta electronic ignition and new oil seals. It was running on a SH1/18 carburettor with Li150 jetting. Top speed 70-90 km/h depending on wind direction and heavy fuel consumption. La...
