Re: GT big block experiance : New GT crank info added
That stretch of the A3 past the grounded Zeppelin (think its actually a hotel) was great, that said the outside lane wasn't for the faint hearted. I rather think the european 'plod' aren't too au-fait with tuned scooters & so, happening across Eden & wife at warp speed in the outside lane mu...

Re: self closing throttle
As for the original question - I'm in the 'resistance' camp - Don't like the idea of being pitched over the handlebars cos the throttle snaps shut as you stick your right arm out to indicate (I'm old skool took test in '79 I still do quite a bit of arm indicating)

Re: self closing throttle
Happened to me on way to Whitby - only cable I didn't change during winter bike refresh. (sod's law) & of course the outer came away from its stop under headset so spare wheel off to get horncast off etc.. etc.. (Thankfully daylight but bloody freezing at 8am !) Gave the S type a damn good thras...

Re: Anyone gone from a Ram Air to a Breathe Sweet....
I'm using a ramair (as per pics) on my Rapido 225 (reed valve) I have old skool hole in sidecan through which it pokes its head. Barely noticeable difference between with or without. No more than the effects you get due to temp/dampness.

Re: water cooled twin
Saw this machine outside the KC stadium on Saturday (Hull City's ground for the uninitiated) Superb job the engineering integrity is a joy to behold. I had hoped to collar you for a brief chat and to offer congratulations but by the time I'd finished berating the players and the ref. You were on you...

Re: Gamma Technology RTSE1000 beta testing
Point taken Jon - the wheel circumference taken from rolling bike from a marked wheel position to repeat position and measuring linear on ground distance covered (with help of a teenage son!) came out as 132cm but inputting that gave low speed readings so upped to 134 in line with what Toddy was dis...

Re: Gamma Technology RTSE1000 beta testing
I've also gone for the 'Gamma' mine is the slightly cheaper one without exhaust gas temp facility. Fitted into headset top in place to std speedo. I'm generally less than confident with electrics but had no problems - possibly helped by fact I've gone DC with battery so have stable power supply Unit...

Forks/Steering Bearings
Apologies for age related mental decay. I'm sure I saw topic on here (or possibly LCGB forum) regarding size of fork upper & lower ball bearing sizes but can't locate it now Getting a bit of chatter on my bike under braking & thinking of going "loose balled" to get more balls in to...
