My understanding is that it's the big end that's mostly at risk and why 2% might be risky in a tuned motor. 2% should be fine for your scooter, once mine is well run in I will go back to 2%.

I bought one of the pillion seat ones because the riders ones looked to wide but then it depends on your seat size (both of them Mine fits the seat well and the straps hold it in place.

Air Hawk air pads are what you want they are excellent. I normally get numb after about 35-40 miles but with my Air Hawk I rode from Lincoln to Whitby and back in a day with not problems .
