Re: Push down tensioner & lower guide

Thank you. After oil ratios and tread-patterns, nothing will generate a diverse range opinions quicker than lower guides  I'm not really interested in discussing the pros or cons of lower guides in this thread, but seeking input on which push down tensioners, if any, are compatible with lower c...

Push down tensioner & lower guide

Which push down chain tensioners are compatible with lower guides? GT? Jockey’s? Casa? Others?

My lower guide of choice is the Stratos (also recently cloned by Scootopia) but will consider others, if needed.

Thanks in advance!

Re: Damper Gaitors

They’re from a BSA Bantam, and unless someone has redesigned them specifically for Lambretta dampers they’ll always be a little loose and slightly too short.

As mentioned above, a small zip-tie fastened around the top will stop them sliding down.

Also Cosmoto and I believe Pipe Design have one in the works. Here are some dyno comparisons of various pipes (might need to log in view).

Re: 6 volt dry cell battery

There is an Italian company that manufactures both the S1/early S2 type and the late S2/S3/GP type (and for several models of classic Vespa), but the name escapes me at the moment. Both RLC and SIP retail them.

For 12v AGM batteries for late S2/S3/GP see this list.

Series 1/early Series 2? Or late Series 2/Series 3/GP?

Re: Smaller wassel/podtronic regulator?

Watching this thread with interest! On the LCGB forums there was pictures posted of a standard sized Wassel/Podtrodics that had a number of the cooling fins shaved to fit inside a plastic s3/GP Ducati rectifer box. It was claimed (at the time) that there was no issues with over heating. I can't seem...

Re: tv175 ser 2

I used a TV/2 manifold and swapped the bushing in the SH2/22 for a TV/2 type (available from Dell'orto UK). As the curvature of the TV/2 manifold (and LI/2) is different to the S3 type it also means you won't have to trim your cylinder cowl for it to fit. Alternatively, use a GP manifold, but be pre...
