Re: Fascinating article on standard exhaust performance

By 'standard' do you mean a GP/dl exhaust without the mushroom baffle, as referenced in the article? Not all exhausts are created equal, and there are major differences throughout Innocenti production. For example, even a Series 2 TV exhaust is different to a Series 2 LI exhaust. https://live.static...

Re: swapping carb bits

According to people much more knowledgeable than myself, the LI/2 used a different BS7 float (#5561) to the TV/2 BS7 float (#5565), difference being recess on the metal pin that the float lever hooks onto is lower on the LI/2 type than the TV/2 type. Here are the parts need to convert a BS5 TV/2 car...

Re: School me on Suzuki TS185 pistons

The best piston for the conversion is 12110-29900. This has better ring pegs and cut-aways around the gudgeon pin. The rings are 12140-29010. Sadly, I know these numbers off by heart. I'll get my anorak. Adding a few more TS185 ER part numbers to the above for future reference. The gudgeon/wrist pi...

Tsubaki chain

Can anyone please share the Tsubaki part number for an 80 link duplex chain?

Would also be interested in the part number for 82 link chains, or any other Lambretta compatible Tsubaki chains.

Thanks in advance!

Re: how many amps will the horn button support?

A full DC set up with a DC horn (original or remade) is loud, and has saved me several times from careless NYC taxi drivers. Bright lights from the conversion are an added bonus.

Re: Push down tensioner & lower guide

Thank you. After oil ratios and tread-patterns, nothing will generate a diverse range opinions quicker than lower guides  I'm not really interested in discussing the pros or cons of lower guides in this thread, but seeking input on which push down tensioners, if any, are compatible with lower c...

Push down tensioner & lower guide

Which push down chain tensioners are compatible with lower guides? GT? Jockey’s? Casa? Others?

My lower guide of choice is the Stratos (also recently cloned by Scootopia) but will consider others, if needed.

Thanks in advance!

Re: Damper Gaitors

They’re from a BSA Bantam, and unless someone has redesigned them specifically for Lambretta dampers they’ll always be a little loose and slightly too short.

As mentioned above, a small zip-tie fastened around the top will stop them sliding down.

Also Cosmoto and I believe Pipe Design have one in the works. Here are some dyno comparisons of various pipes (might need to log in view).
