Re: LATE PRODUCTION SX 200

My first proper Lambretta was a G reg SX200 with the frame number 850002 (where are you now?). It had the clip on panels, plastic toolbox and push in fork buffers. Although originally sold and registered in 1969 it arrived in my local lambretta dealer (Bill Maddricks) in October 1968. How do I know ...

Re: Serveta 200 frame ignition hole. What year?

I don't know for definate when the hole was added to the rear frame, but as Jamie says, there are early 1970's examples out there. Yes, the 72/73 models wore yellow ochre bodywork including SX200 type side panels. Some of these models have holes in the rear frames and others don't. The ones with hol...

Re: 1977 Jet200 ocre. Original paint

Very nice Jamie....the original slope back seat looks much better!
I have a cut back original slope back Guiliari on my 73 JET 200, but prefer the full slope back.#

Re: Chassisnumbers Motovespa TX 200

Hi Chris Yes, 118C sounds right for the TX200. Your chassis number looks to be a Piaggio one, but interestingly it does not appear in either of my Piaggio blue books. Is yours the one from northern ireland? As far as i am aware the GS200 was made by Piaggio for the Belgium, Danish and Swiss markets....

Re: Winter Model Light Switch

Just to clarify. Only early Spanish S2's (round headlamp) had rectangular lightswitches. However most round headlamp S2's had S3 style switches (including the 'winter' models). I have checked my original switches and none have writing on them, so i guess that not all were made by Leonelli. Spanish S...

Re: Spanish LI 150

Its actually more like 1973 and if it has a chrome ring fitted then it is an Eibar Li 150 Special. Best bet is PM me with the full frame number and i can advise better on year and bodywork.
Cheers, Perry

Re: Eibar GP

Never seen Spanish made GP panels, but you never know. They may of played around with a set. The Spanish obviously went for the GP look with the adoption of clip on Li panels. However, have you considered that they may be South American produced? I believe that they made GP's in Columbia, as well as...

Re: Spanish trim

No, the spanish factory wouldn't mix and match the rubber trim colours. Your 79 JET should be grey trims still, the black trims tended to come out in 1980. However the Spanish owners do like to 'update' their older Lambretta's to make them look like newer ones - so perhaps the owner had started to d...
