Re: Reed petals for LML engine
Hi, obtained the reeds from the USA (607 or 608 I think they are) and did the mod yesterday including removing the bridge from the intake. I also drilled the 'heart' under the air filter. I have a bit of a blockage at the moment because it's dying on the throttle (as if it's cold and needs choke) bu...

Vespa- exhaust port only?
Hi I have a standard LML 150 reedvalve engine. I'll be replacing crank, cylinder, carb, ignition etc eventually but for now I'm just doing some minor bits aimed at getting it running sweetly- replacing the reeds, the air filter mod, fast flow tap and fitting a BGM box exhaust. I was just wondering i...

Re: Reed petals for LML engine
Thanks, any snippet of information helps! Standard RD350 ones would be OK but I want to cut out the bridge piece if possible and I'd need the 2-stage ones for that.

Reed petals for LML engine
Hi, does anyone know where I can get the Boyesen 2-stage reeds for a standard LML engine? I believe they're KDX80 or RD350 ones.
Cheers

Re: Legshield spare carrier
Hi mate
Not yet, it's quite far down the list of priorities (starting with the weak gearchange detent and the speedo drive which keeps shearing)!
I need to buy some rims first as well. When I actually do the job I'll take measurements and pics for future ref.

Re: Legshield spare carrier
Thanks. It's a VBB2T 'curry burner.' I'd just about come to the conclusion I'd buy the tool for the nutserts, but I guess just tightening bolts into them would pull them in... Actually, I think I have a similar tool for plasterboard inserts, maybe that would work!

Legshield spare carrier
Hi
I just bought a spare wheel carrier (the type that bolts to the spine and carries the spare flat against the legshields) and it needs two mounting points on the spine.
I assume I need some threaded inserts - if anyone has fitted one of these, what did you use?
Thx
