New seat refurb, vibrating springs
I have rebuilt a Giullari double bench seat, with a new spring kit and a Casa seat cover and noticed a pronounced vibrating sound when riding it. Thinking that some screws on a foot plate might be loose I was surprised to find that the sound was coming from the seat. The springs do not touch the und...

Re: Mild engine upgrade options
Do any of the dealers sell them checked and tweaked?
What else would you consider using for this stage of tune?

Re: Mild engine upgrade options
I think I am leaning towards a 'non TV' iron 175 barrel, piston and head and running that with Big Bore and a 22mm Jetex. Does anyone know if these need any work as sold or are they bolt on? The dealer I spoke to said that the stage 4 ali kits they have would be a better alternative soley for heat d...

Re: Mild engine upgrade options
Do you mean to run this option on the existing cylinder / piston / head?mick1 wrote:An expansion exhaust and a bigger carb' would come in under your budget and give a significant improvement in power.
Just remember when you gain power you tend to sacrifice reliability

Re: Mild engine upgrade options
Many thanks for that. I had a look around and cannot find the parts you mentioned in any of the online dealers. Do you know where I can find a TV 175 barrel and a 186 head on their own? I have found 64mm pistons and they are over £50.00, so it looks like this option may cost for more than the 175 co...

Mild engine upgrade options
I am looking at getting a little more power out of my completely standard LIS 150 and I have not found much information about doing this without increasing the CCs with a new barrel / cylinder kit. I really want a little more power than what it already has for riding around town. I don't expect to b...

Re: Kickstart oil seal installation problem
Just thought I'd add, I know the bush on the gearbox side must be flush with the housing, should it be proud on the kick start side because it is on mine.
