Re: Start prob

If it was starting normally and just started playing up I would clean out the pilot jet circuit, also worth checking the choke cable for wear or the nipple breaking off. If it is a new build I would check your ignition timing, my 185 rebuild was a pig to start and I, like you had to cover the carb m...

Re: Anti dive for spauq

Hello, I thought the whole point of an anti-dive kit was to allow the brake back plate to be independent of the fork links. From my experience an anti-dive doesn't use the lug or stud fixing on either type of fork links, instead it is braced to the fork leg by a link rod. This is just my thoughts, b...

Re: 12V reg

Yes this is a very easy mod to do, much cheaper than buying a new stator.
For those that don't know just desolder the earth from the lighting coil to the stator body and replace with the extra wire.

Re: 12V reg

To use a wassel unit you must have two wires coming out of your stator for ac power, theses are usually yellow, that plug into the wassel. If you only have one then you need a 4 pin regulator that makes 12 volt ac and 12 volt dc to trickle charge a battery.

new breed of 200 engine case

Hi, I'm interested in buying a new engine case and with standard ones costing almost £400 I'm am consider one of the new type with the bigger gasket face, like the GT or Casa. I know they will take a standard 200/ 225 cylinder but what cylinders are on the market or in the pipeline that are able to ...

Re: Pic of LH rear frame leg- S3?

Hi, it looks to me that some time in the scooters life the rear strut has been pushed in by 10 to 15mm. Have a look at the strut pressing by where the tank straps go, you may see some spreading of the metal compared to the other side. Get a piece of scaffolding pipe put it over the strut and pull it...

Re: SIL Gp Light switch

Oh the joy of indian wiring! I bought a brand new indian gp200 that was F reg, this had an indicator switch on the lh throttle support that was a similar shape to a gp light switch. All the indicator switch was a simple toggle with off in middle and a left position and a right. I also have a semi re...

Re: Sh filter

By box I guess you mean the standard steel air filter box. I would think the easiest way to fixing a filter is for you to keep the rubber elbow and fix a k&n style filter to the end of the rubber elbow. you just need a solid ring to push inside the elbow and a k&n style filter to fit over the outsid...

Re: Welded or heli coil?

Rolls Royce diesel division helicoil every thread in aluminium. I think the most important thing is to use correct torque, m6 bolt or nut only torqued to 10nm. Im pretty certain they design the engines to take time certs when I worked for general dynamics as a vehical installation tec we used alot ...
