Re: Beedspeed

Always baffles me how sip and scootercenter can manage to mail stuff via courier across europe cheaper and faster than uk based dealers can ship within the uk

Re: Lambretta Rear Brake Adjuster

I’d switch to the cable with the built in threaded section and do away with this adjuster. One less thing to worry about

Re: Problems with BEEDSPEED???

Limped onto rayspeeds forecourt on the way to filey a couple of years back. They immediately jumped in to diagnose and fix my vespa (dodgy fuel tap), and didn’t want a penny for it. I bought a couple of bits out of a sense of guilt. This is what dealers were always about, keeping us on the road in r...

Re: MOT EXEMPTION - for 40 year plus scooters

I checked my renewal policy with nash carefully as i declared the mugello 186 I’ve put on (which incidentally made no difference to the premium) and there’s no specific mention of a valid MOT being a requirement to insurance. Where it was called out was on the bundled breakdown recovery policy which...

Re: MOT EXEMPTION - for 40 year plus scooters

Worth checking with your insurer as there are stories of some still requiring an MOT. Also the breakdown recovery as some of those require that the scooter is MOT’d, or at least they did until now

Re: 28 mm dellorto spit back

A lot of spit back also suggests a rich setting but depends on how much you consider is a lot. I’m using the MB ‘tea strainer’ filter which has helped with my set up. The added benefit of this filter is that it doesn’t require any jetting adjustments

Re: MOT Exemption from today

Be interesting to see how the insurance companies react. They could still insist on a test as part of the policy requirements

Pros and cons of a 22 tooth primary on a kitted P125?

P125 with a pinasco 177, 24mm carb, fast flow tap and SIP road2, everything else standard. Its topping out at around 60-65mph at around 6500rpm. Would switching from 21 to a 22 tooth primary add much more, or would it lose anything?
