Another quick update and a few clarifications....................... I've edited my original post, my apologies, the squish is only 2mm, and I'm not using a packing plate with the 60mm crank, sorry for the confusion. The filter I'm using is drilled (2 holes) Cosa type i believe, the restriction was ...

The head has been reprofiled by Harry, has been built as a high speed tourer, so the large squish is to avoid 'pinking'. Nearly completed the run in period, and currently spec'd as above but with a 130 main. The main problem at the moment is the new filter is not letting the carb breathe, seems very...

Just got my Pro Porting 218 stage 4 running this week, and went out for a ride yesterday to get some miles on it and work out the jetting. Specs are............ 60mm crank (cut increased inlet) 2.0mm squish (-0.6mm in cylinder + 1mm head squish + Malossi head gasket) 18 deg iginition timing Revolver...

When I was racing in the late 80s, we machined a Villiers blank for the head on my Group 5 and I'm sure a lot of the shops were such as MSC, Chiselspeed, Kegra and Taffspeed.
