Re: My Vega stoped going flat out... Any thoughts?
Just reading all your replies I think it might be a fuel starvation issue. Someone from a different source has said exactly what firekdp says. SF leans towards an electrical issue which I value as well as a potential reason. What I am not sure about is honing a piston without enough petrol going in ...

My Vega stoped going flat out... Any thoughts?
I took the vega for a spin yesterday. 94 kms (about 60 miles) some flat out on 80km/h (50mph) on the motorway. It was precisely on the motorway by El Prat (passed the airport) that the engine stoped. I was going flat out and suddenly the engine seemed to go silent. I instantly pulled the clutch and ...

Re: RS 225 Ralph saxelby
So did this got sorted? By the way, if you guys call Grampian for pistons, let me give you a tip; ask for Jimena, a Mexican girl that Works there and is super helpful. It was hilarious to find out the amounts of pistons that we Lambretta peeps order from Grampian, her expression was like: “oh, you a...

Re: Cylinder head
Each model of 150 had a different ratio. About 7,8:1 I think. However, if you are fitting a 200 piston, you are aquiring 200 ratios. Regardless of the compression ratio, you will need to machine your head accordingly. Any reputable tuner MUST be able to do this for you.

Re: Ricspeed - Rich Smith - Rest In Peace
I got a call yesterday from Tony at an odd time, and I just knew it wasn't anything good. It took me a while to realize that my friend Rich was gone. But as Dan has also expressed, it had been several months when Ric had no reason to smile anymore. I was there with him at Cadwell when his lowest hum...

SIL 200 barrel converted to 225 using Pro Porting piston
Evening lads, I have a problem converting a SIL 200 barrel into 225 using a Pro porting TS1 piston. It will leave the wall so thin that the base will not leave any difference between the ports and the bore. Has anyone encountered this problem before? http://img69.imageshack.us/img69/8070/uvyq.jpg Th...
