On a series three SX/TV type mudguard before painting you need to Flatten the lip on the inside of the mudguard in the area of the top mount and when building the bodywork just pull the mudguard away from the top bracket , It fits pretty close but can be done , This is what frank told me to do when ...

I removed the forktube clamp and refitted it in the correct position on mine, This was the only way to make them fit with neat gaps , infact the clamp fell off whilst pulling the legshields around during the dry build,

MB used to sell a bracket for the trailtech speedos which are similar to a SIP ,simple bracket that fitted on the axle on the near side of the disc , a lot more neater than the ones on show here.

I have seen a couple of these it looks like they have welded up the original numbers and re- engraved the 5 speed , looks like porosity in the ally weld.

The Rimini ones are only £46.00 now , and the Scootrs are £20.00 , i personally have used the Scootrs ones without any issues,
