Re: dt 250 piston in a ts1 pro's and con's
rd400 and ktm 200 rod are 115 and 118,but 16mm pin,so would need piston bushes wich i would want to avoid, gran turismo have a 125mm long maico rod advertised with a 18mm pin,so would need a 13mm packer with a 58mm stroke crank, would you have problems with the exhaust or head cowel hitting frame tube

Re: dt 250 piston in a ts1 pro's and con's
what rod did you use warkton, only rod i can find is the gt rod 110mm with a 18mm small end,as the compression height on the dt piston is 34mm,this would give me 144mm total length,so would i have to machine 2mm off the base of the cylinder to get piston level with gasket face putting those figures i...

Re: sil 2 hole silent block
bgm say something about the crank is not on the centreline of the engine,so wants to twist the engine in the frame because of the centrifugal force, thats why they have the holes have to be in the correct position and the kickstart also wants to twist the engine when starting,,cheers

Re: sil 2 hole silent block
if we use the clock face as a reference, each hour is 30 deg,so 8-10 is 60 deg and 1-3 is 60 deg,but 10 -1 is 90 degrees!!,i would say the 2 holes are 60 degrees apart, think i will go with nick b,s,cheers

Re: GT186 piston skirt question
if you have your old piston, measure from the centre of the gudgeon pin to the bottom of the skirt.and compare it to your new one, if you are going to use the new one you will have to shorten the skirt to suit, adding packers will only, raise the barrel, strange that it is hitting the case with a 110mm ...
