a "cheap" mobile phone with GPS capabilities can be utilised as a tracker. With a decent battery life on most mobiles it would be a cheap option, or if a battery was fitted it would be permanently powered. Obviously the phone would need to be hidden, but that shouldn't be much of a problem.

Sounds like an air leak, possibly an intermittent one, this would also explain a sudden surge when the air leak kicks in. maybe do some plug chops at different throttle positions.

I'm having trouble with my kickstart rubbers as well.....been using 2 or 3 a year (they just go missing !!). tried Evostick, gripfill, pinkgrip, silicone, tie wraps, etc. I'm now thinking of getting a couple of lines of weld on it to help it grip.
