Re: Lost piston ring peg

I've had two MB Pistons do this to me. Bottom peg dropped out on both of them ring spun round and wrecked my imola kits. I thought I was just unlucky on the first one but was fuming when the second happened. MB sells some quality gear but these Pistons are garbage. I'm not the only one it's happened...

Re: Plug chop and plug colour help please

If you've only gone up to 3/4 throttle you probably haven't even touched the main jet yet. Pilot and atomiser sounds fine but I recon the needle needs changing. I wouldn't ride it with a plug that colour unless you fancy pushing it home.

Re: Clutch

Cheers boys. More or less what I was thinking. I've ordered the springs and red clutch plates from MB.

Tyre change

Anyone got any tips for removing tyres on split rims. In the past mine have always been complete tw&&£s to get off. In fact after loads of swearing and sweating I've resorted to cutting them off. This time I want to keep the tyres and could do without throwing them around the garage in anger...

Re: Jetting mates Imola!

My imola settings are as follows. 40 slide, x13 needle on the top clip, AV264, 138 main jet, 50 pilot and the powerjet out 3/4 of a turn. Ive got a 30 mil delly with an augusto 7000 and a Dev Tour Pipe. This setup works fine for my scooter and havent had any problems. That will now be the bloody kis...

Price of parts in UK

I was looking at upgrading my front dampers on my lammy. Decided on a pair od BGM adjustable ones. I researched on the net and the cheapest I found in the UK was £182 plus £8.50 postage. I went onto Scooter Centre in Germany and it was £147.00 all in. The postage was only 5 euros. Ive ordered bits f...

Re: Sip speedo

I use mine with the normal speedo cable and is more or less bang on. I also put on the temperature sensor as described in the latest edition of Jetset. Instead of going under the plug it goes on the top and is held in place by a rubber washer.

Re: Imola gearing

Cheers Andy. I did try 17 x 46 with a final drive of 4.6. It absolutely flew in 1st 2nd and 3rd gear. When it went into 4th if I hit any incline or a headwind etc it died. Does having a final drive of 4.7 as opposed to 4.6 make that much difference. The margins seem really small.

Re: SIP Lambretta Digital Speedo

Mine was working perfectly until I connected up a mod charger and put a new denso resistor plug on. It was all over the place. I think I was doing 140 mph the other day. Put the old ngk resistor plug back on and it now seems to work. Well apart from some parts of the digital speedo reading which is ...
