why do you thin that the original 6V stators have the LT coil mounted at 180 degrees to the others? Another question.... Should the polarity follow an alternating pattern regardless of whether the coils are connected/wired together or are merely next to each other on the stator base? If its wired as Italian then It should work, maybe it's got another problem... But here's an explanation of the differences if it helps... The LT coil on an original ducati stator is placed on to the backplate in effect back to front, this reverses the polarity on the charge coil, the coil on a SIL ...

Ignore original timing marks on flywheel by the pickup They are rarely correct and or only used to put the timing somewhere near to running. Set your own TDC mark opposite the flywheel arrow, then make a second mark to the left of this 2mm of piston travel, that's somewhere around 27mm on the mag ho...

Don't think the "standard Lambretta chain guides" are up to the power produced by many of the road going Lambrettas today.

Bottom chain guide removed, New type top guide only on mine...
