Paul , ive tried various positions for the heat sensor but by far the best was on top of the spark plug as suggested by dscscotty on lcgb site , piece of black fuel hose just make sure its a tight fit and probably about 10mm in height ,trial and error just make sure you can get the plug cap to snap ...

Ive had a trail tech for 5 or 6 years now , changed the battery in the back of it 3 times , great bit of kit does everything i need .

Put Conti moves on the scoot for the Euro Lambretta no issues what so ever , the front has plenty of tread left as you would expect and the rear 100/90 has plenty left also , this is after roughly 2000 mls so no complaints .
