Does the 'short' bracket need to be bent at 90 degrees? with the round hole fitting to the lower rear damper mount? Only way I can see it fitting.

I ran one when they came out but we all changed them as they broke the back mounts and restricted the exhaust which could explain the heat issue your having. We put leo vinces on if that helps.

Not bad Fred,i'm still p1551ing about with engines. The reason i asked for a photo is I had a NK on my Suzuki 225 for years and the original swan neck spacers fell to bits the morning of a rally and the only thing I had in the shed that was rubber was an inner tube.
