Re: SIP CHT Sensor Mounted on Head Experience

I tapped the dummy centre plug on my GT kit for the red ring heat sensor. It's reading is below actual, but I'm okay with that. I just concerned with differential. I've got a feel now for max normal running temp and periodically check to see it's in this range. I've experimented by trying hotter plu...

Re: 210 polini alloy cold start issue

Jets were clear but there was what looked like very fine hairs under the filter, and there was a few particles on the needle that was probably preventing needle to seat closed.

And to start it only needs a small amount of choke compared to stock.

Re: POLINI 210 ALLOY

Mines rich at the bottom end with a stock 55/160 pilot in when using a big main, thinking of going leaner on the pilot, i could maybe then go up on the main to a 135 because I could do with more plug colour higher up, I,v noticed when looking into the carb that the main comes in as soon as the slid...

210 polini alloy cold start issue

I've got a new bmg26/26 carb.and fast flow tap. Jetting is dialed in very nicely. When cold, I pull the choke out and kick. After about 5 kicks I can start to smell gas, but I have not touched the throttle. Only way to start it is crack open throttle wide and kick it like it's flooded. It will start...

Re: POLINI 210 ALLOY

I've got it dialed in now. My main stack is 160, be3, 135 main. My pilot is a 38-120. It is very slightly rich around 1/4 throttle so once it's broken in I'll try a different slide. But I could leave it as is. Things improved a lot with a pilot jet that had a more narrow band of effect, probably bef...

Re: Help Understanding stator test results.

The answer to that is maybe. Cleaning up connections is always a good idea. 0.4 ohms might be down to your meter not being zero’d properly Unless your running dc the dim-bright with RPM is normal What’s more likely to be causing the issue is poor earths in the headset and from the engine to the fra...

Help Understanding stator test results.

Hey, My scooters headlight is not as bright as it should be at idle (1300 rpm). Picks up with rpm. Bulb is good. Bgm 120w stator and bgm flywheel. White earth to mag housing: 0.4 ohms White to green: 504 White to red: 112 Do I interpret that as I need to clean my stator ground wire up? Sticky says t...

Re: seeking recommendation on GT200 gearing

Advice I have been given is Franspeed Race is ideal if it's >200cc, but the Supertourer is a better match for 200cc and my gearbox.

Scootrs expansion pipe dyno chart?

Hi, I have two of these pipes hanging in my garage. Wondering if I should try one on one of my scooters. But before going to too much bother, I'm wondering if anyone has a dyno cart of one so I can estimate the results. I remember reading they were a copy of a PM pipe, but small changes can have big...
