Re: Troubleshooting inboard semi-hydrolic

Tx, I learned something new today. I was not aware of the bedding in. I have scootrs and SSC disks on other lammies and they gripped like a fat lady on a cheeseburger from the start. I will also tighen the stationary pad a bit and then try it out. I've got the cable on the MC setup such that full pu...

Troubleshooting inboard semi-hydrolic

Tv175 original break and steel disk. I bought a new semi hydraulic back plate. Reservoir is behind the horn cast. I have a bleeding kit and pretty confident it's good. Took anti rattle clip off. Holes in disk are 13/32. Copper grease on the 3 pegs. New oil seal for the speedo area. I cleaned the dis...

Anyone evaluate these 10" ALU rims?

Yes it's made in China for some company. Both good and bad parts are made there. So I'm wondering if anyone recognizes this rim and can comment on the quality, tire fitment, etc. https://m.aliexpress.com/item/32690196636.html?trace=wwwdetail2mobilesitedetail&productId=32690196636&productSubject=Free...

Re: POLINI 210 ALLOY

The rally engine head doesn't have the clearance of a PX. Undoing the engine bolt and pivoting just allowed the swapping of the head. For jetting. I've got rally200 engine, sip road 2 pipe, bgm 26/26 carb, drilled 2 holes in airfilter. Base main jet is 118. My guess is +8 for polini. +8 for exhaust....

5 min removal of bearing race from crankshaft

I put a brand new bearings in top end only to discover the crank was twisted. So I put the crank in the freezer for a day. Stood up crank in my vice. Ran around race with a small butane torch for 20 secs. Tapped the crack between race and crank with a fine chisel. Race moved. I repeated this 3 times...

Changing Rally cylinder, need to remove the engine?

I'm going to put a lot on my Rally 200. I know the head and cylinder won't clear the frame, unlike a PX. But I'm wondering if I can support the engine, just remove the main bolt, and pivot the engine enough to clear the frame, leaving all cables and wires in place.

Re: POLINI 210 ALLOY

Hi, I'm about to fit on on my Rally. To get enough clearance to lift the cylinder off, do I have to take engine right out, or, can I just remove the engine bolt and swing the engine out a bit. Leaving all the cables in place.

Cheers
