Re: Still running bad

Thanks Adam, and yes I do agree with you on that, I did find that the delivery was not as smooth as I expected, but more of a build up then a surge of power so to speak....ideal on the flats but not on hills or Towns etc, I do have other Exhausts to try such as my old faithful Fresco and the TSR DJ ...

Re: Still running bad

why did you alter the gearing in the first place? The reason or changing Joe, was after a ride out a mate commented on how the scoot was performing, I felt at the time it was holding back as if restricted, it flew up hills but lacked the power at fourth and had to keep dropping back to fourth...whe...

Re: Still running bad

Thanks Gents for all the replies, certainly something to look at and consider....Just out of interest...what is the difference between the 5.22 set up,compared to the 4.82 ...being a novice with this im thinking the higher 5.22 would be the better of the two for pulling up hills etc....would like to...

Re: Still running bad

Thanks for that Adam, It was originally an 18 x 47 set up and was doing just as you described, I checked around and in previous messages, that's where I got the jetting set up...but as you say I will move the clip just one and see how that fares, with caution of course...I was thinking of going AV26...

Re: Still running bad

Thanks for replying Mick, and YES you are right mate, its a struggle.....It was suggested that I put a 19 x 46 o as to make the Box work more than the crank...Plus my weight would equal to carrying pillion so thats why its 19 x 46... would there be a benefit of 16 x 46 = 5.75 or would that be TOO re...

Still running bad

Hi Gents, following up from previous notes, I have recently changed the Drive sprockets of my Lambretta from 18 x 47 to 19 x 46, when taking it out yesterday, it was really struggling to get up hills or any incline...Have also thought the carburation may be the cause... RAPIDO 225 RACE FRANSPEED SUP...

Re: Flat spot

Cheers Holty and yes it seems that's one of the reasons why the Lammy was acting the way it was, Camel s comment is taken on board also, as he was with me in the ride out whilst it was acting up....Thanks for the comments Gent, it all adds up to an answer

Re: Flat spot

Evening Gents....so far, I have drained some fuel from the tank to check the flow....disappointingly 380ml in 60 secs, I think its safe to say that may be the reason why im getting a miss from the Exhaust after full chat, also sluggish then literally kicks in like a mule....fingers crossed this may ...

Re: Flat spot

Hi Camel, yes you did mention that, and I ve taken on board, but what concerns me is when I opened it up there was a flat spot .close the carb and re open then it goes, when we went up hills it was flying as you saw...So gearing Yes...but I also think theres something un balanced between Carb , maybe...

Re: Flat spot

Hi Ktmh5...the main jet is 130, ...Morgan, leak down has been done, really should have phrased it better, when full chat and leave the throttle to close it seems to run on and not in sequence as if its missing, if that makes sense, I will be checking the flow from the tank as that may also be the cau...
