Re: BGM BigBox fouling Vespa Rally center stand

Hey Paul, Just to put your mind at rest mine (Rally 200 with SIP2 road) did exactly the same. Well peed off. I just filed off the ally on the stand that fouled. Even then when fully sprung up the foot knocked on the exhaust outlet area....so then had to tease that side of the stand out a bit.....whi...

Re: Vespa Rally fuel cap

I think there are only two styles that fit the Rally 'raised' tank style. An original Rally seat and....oh hang. I think there is only one style that fit the Rally 'raised' tank style :? Its a bummer for sure because basically any Rally you see without the original fat seat has either got a replacem...

Re: Vespa Rally 200 SI24/24 tickover

Chaps...Ive just read about the 1.5 turns old 2.5 turns new....great info Ive got a Rally200 which seems to be running like an ageing tractor (always has since Ive rebuilt it) and just realised I had this screw 2.5 turns out like the Spaco ones....so hopefully that might make a difference. Re: Sip Road 2

Pete,
Im pretty sure it wouldnt make a noticeable difference no. I only popped on a 24/24 when I bought the 177 Pinasco kit. Now that made a world of difference....and 4000miles later Im still loving it.

Whatever you do though wash the filter out with petrol to get rid of any swarf...and let dry. http://hkfabricator.com/siproad.html Ive got the 65 Sprint and that was the first thing I did a few months b...

Re: Sip Road 2

Yep...point taken Gaz....Ive got my suspicions something aint quite right but thought Id add my tuppence worth. The seize happened after going a bit strong up a long hill...come down the other side with no fuel and the old classico happened. Whether that was the main jets fault well I doubt it, but ...

Re: Sip Road 2

Just to throw a fly in the ointment... Ive got a Rally 200 24/24 carb SIP2 and drilled airfilter and Ive just upped it from a 128 to a 130 because I had a soft seize after 300miles. 120 sounds low to me....but it really does boil down to what scoot you have...Cartmels seems happy at 120? If you have...

Re: Barrel Fins

Had an incident recently where the top fin of my rally cylinder fractured. It was welded but failed soon after. Spoke to Beedspeed who said they often have taken off the whole top fin before now on tuned scoots.......so dont worry too much about it:-)
