Re: exhaust mountings, solid or rubber mounted, thoughts ?

100% agree with a.lo.v2. What you seem to have is 3 flexible points and one fixed, ''the pipe has 3 rubber mountings and is clamped to the stub'' If you let it 'float' at the stub your problems may disappear. Re: exhaust mountings, solid or rubber mounted, thoughts ?

Couldn't you spring mount it at the stub end, then you would have a fully floating exhaust?
You may have already tried this?
Any flexing/movement will always transfer to the bit that's fixed = cracking.....
Maybe worth a try...........

Re: Italian GP200 Top Speed

A quite illuminating thread................. I had a 'GP 200' in 1971.................. well some people thought it was ................... Actually it was a 125dl that I bought brand new. A number of my friends at the time thought it was a 200, (didn't look too closely at the forks). Why did they t...

Re: oiltech casing alterations

Well if its of any help, I've used JB Weld on my Sprinter Crankcase, where, trying to weld anymore in the crank area would just cause more porosity, and its been fine. Its a crankcase that's had a fair bit of welding btw.............

Re: 12V AC Rev Counter Options?

Scitsu - good damping, reads from HT cable, its 12v rechargeable via a pin into the body of the rev counter.
I suppose it depends on how much you want to pay also!
