Re: MOT EXEMPTION - for 40 year plus scooters

Re increase in horsepower, pretty sure that as long as it still has the same number of cylinders this isn't an issue, so unless you've stuck a Targa in you should be fine

I have started to use Groundsman in the 150s with an iron cylinder. It seems to be ok.
That's what I use with my GT kits and my Mugello, covered around 15k miles since I switched to it and no problems whatsoever

Most tyre fitters in my experience will only fit new tyres to rims.

Re: SIP Two stroke oil

Not wanting to start the old 2 stroke oil debate but pretty much 2T oil will do, Lambrettas are over 50 years old and all that was available was mineral or castor oil are varying degrees of quality. I use lawnmower/chainsaw 2T in mine.

sounds like it's a ramp rear hub, they are smaller stud threads.
If it is a Ramp hub I'd ditch it straight away

As said, common problem but manageable so long as you turn the petrol off shortly before turning the engine off. Then leave it turned off when you restart.
This is what I do with my Muggy and Ram filter, works every time, just have to remember to turn fuel off early enough

You use one made for the speedo. Tim mason on LCGB will sort you out.
Not a member on there so is there another way to contact him?
Tim is on Facebook so you could try sending him a DM on there?

I had this after doing my pre-Euro checks, couldn't find the cause and it has been fine every since, so just put it down to a bit of grit
