Re: Clubman on GT186 - Ex Box?

Everything points to the Franspeed Race.... how are they for ground clearance? Is that the same as a JL4? Seems to be limited suppliers... Not great for ground clearance, you need to be careful over speed bumps but I've only caught mine once in over 12k miles. They are very similar to the JL4 as fa...

Re: Clubman on GT186 - Ex Box?

Is the Franspeed Race noisy... (might be a daft question!) Not as noisy as my baffleless BGM or a Gori. I quite like a loud exhaust though, helps to warn other road users of your presence but I wouldn't say it is any more noisy than any other expansion out there, haven't felt the need to wear ear p...

Re: Clubman on GT186 - Ex Box?

I'm running an early BGM on my GT200 and that goes well, no gassing up issues, bloomin noisy though as the baffles went not long after it went on!

I do like the Franspeed Race on my GT186 though, works really well and no fitment issues

Re: Glasgow Lambretta

When I have used them I've received the parts I order promptly without issue. On time I had reason to complain was with a new set of SIP rims and tyres, the rims came with the shorter valves that are no good with forecourt air hoses, I tried to contact them to get a pair of the longer valves sent bu...

Re: Trying to get an understanding on ignition systems for GT186...

I was hoping to get it to pull right through the rev range. Unless I’m mistaken, the preferred timing set up is a static 19 degrees btdc to prevent it hitting its ceiling and sort of ‘four stroking’ at high revs. So by using the Hermes CDI it can be set at static timing (or there are two variable s...

What is it not doing now that you want it to do? I was hoping to get it to pull right through the rev range.
