Re: SX150 paint code

I had traces of paint on the inside of the horncasting. Looked 8038 but couldn’t be certain.

Are you going for white or spring grey as the other colour? Another can of worms there too :-)

I have never got to the bottom of this. I believe there may have been two. Late ones may have had the ocean blue that was applied to the blue and white GP150, whilst earlier ones had 8038 New Blue.

I am pretty certain my ‘67 was 8038.

Re: Fresco U bend

I believe I have one spare. I have just dry fitted an under kickstart Fresco. I had two ubends that looked the same to the eye but one fits okay and the other will need more fettling.

Message me if interested.

Re: NSU Prima D

I am unfamiliar with the grease gun you refer to. Many years ago, I bought an antique grease gun for not much money. I have just done a search and you can still pick up similar for not much money. I have never had an issue with it fitting Lambrett grease nipples which, I would guess are a very simil...

Re: GT186 --EX box any one running one

Yes,just fitted one but have also changed carb at the same time so it is a little bit difficult to compare it like for like with the v1 MB/bgm Clubman that was on before. I also haven’t done any miles as still jetting the Mikuni TM24. All that said, I can tell it pulls strongly through the entire ra...

Re: Euro tour tips

In my opinion, not booking ahead makes it more enjoyable. If you have to do, say, 300 miles a day that can be stressful if there’s a delay. If the countries I have been through, best are Netherlands and Germany. Great roads and good signposting. Riding back into Rotterdam ferry port on a standard en...

Re: E10 fuel addatives

I had to use E10 fuel when the 'manufactured' fuel shortage was on & had a bottle of E10 Fuel Fighter in my toolbox for such a time, now i either didn't add enough or it didn't work as the engine didn't run well until i topped up with E5 Super. Like to know anyone else who's used it as this fak...
