Re: MB Ractetour Piston into Imola 186
Think you should be checking the length of the conrod and making sure the piston is for the correct length!

Re: Disc brake advice please
The ScootRS one has the big advantage of being anti dive. Loads of people in the local Perth club (PLSC) have the ScootRS kit and think it's great. I have a ScootRS setup on my series 3 that I am about to upgrade to "anti dive" and I prefer the "standard" hub look, but that of co...

Re: 5 pole reg/rectifier connections
I bit the bullet and did the full 12v DC conversion. So I now have a new, hardly used 5 pin regulator and swapped over to a 12v Wassell type rectifier. I was thinking about doing the same, but I really fancy a SIP speedp/rev counter for Christmas and nobody seems to be able to get them working prop...

Re: 5 pole reg/rectifier connections
I have something similar, when I checked the output from B+ it was 6V. How can this charge a 12V battery? Hey, sounds like a similar problem to mine now! Having completed the remounting of the CDI and regulator and tidied up the wiring/earths etc, I found I was only getting approx 9v DC from the B+...

Re: M Tech or Augusta.................. Discuss
But do they cause possible damage to the engine if they suddenly pack up? possibly as you will fail in an advanced setting of 20-25 degrees depending on set up Looks like the Readspeed CDI takes care of this (looking at their graphs) by setting the static timing as normal and having the timing adva...

Re: My new headset/speedo
I think all we did was make a note of where the normal Scoot RS caliper bracket lined up then fitted anti dive caliper bracket and rose joint tie bar and welded lug on forks when the bracket was in the right place as none anti dive bracket. I think there is some science as to where it should be wel...

Re: My new headset/speedo
Hi Craig, any science to the geometry/position of your mounting bracket? Or was it just where the two joined rose joints ended up? I would like to do something similar to my scoot, hense the question. I presume when you say "done right" you mean the lack of play in the rose joint while sti...

Re: 5 pole reg/rectifier connections
Thanks for that Byron (and indirectly firekdp)! Any Idea what amp rating the fuse should be (and is it in the switched side or the unswitched side)?
