The 300 made no difference so I suspect an electrical fault. I need to check the pick up which was replaced recently

I’ve just put a 300 needle valve in the carb as I suspected the 200 wasn’t enough but it still sounds like a rev limiter at 8000

I’ve had a Mugello an RT and now the Casa SS200. The RT was far and away the best ride and although the Casa makes more power it is do peaky an RT would leave it standing in most situations on the road.

I did consider some timing control but the miss is only apparent if the throttle is wide open at high revs. Back it off a fraction and it goes away and revs happily to 9000 It’s already more conservatively jetted than RLC recommend for the set up and others have got the same set up. Ok so my Casa SS200 kit is running well once on the pipe and I’ve been clocked st 82 on the flat so it’s clearly not far off on jetting. I’ve played around with slides needles jets the lot and now have a close ratio AF gear set brand new clutch chain and sprockets. I can now pull 4th on the flat which is an improvement but the thing doesn’t want to know under 6000 with no chance of pulling anything other than first at lower revs. I’v...

I’m going to try a smaller main jet and see how it goes but it looks like they make very little power below 5000 anyway.

I’m running a PHBH30 with Casa spec jetting.
I tried dropping the needle down as far as possible and it improved a bit. A swap from an x7 to an x13 wouldnt run right at all. I’m going to try a smaller main jet next.

I’m still waiting for an ‘O’ ring and domed nuts but I’ve managed to assemble it without for the sake of getting it run in. I’ve jetted the carb as per Casa specs and running a JL expansion chamber. Over 6000 rpm it takes off but it won’t pull much below and it won’t take 4th at all (Indian gearing)...
