Im giving my taffy pipe some tlc and i was going to give it the caustic soda treatment. can i just leave the end can on and bung it up,then pour the mix in from the other end? ive just heard that it can damage the endcan....is this right? endcan is coming off anyway so i can repack it and redo the r...

Ive got a 1990 taffy pipe on my T5 and today i took it off so i could get my top end off for a rebore i thought while it was off id sort it out as its a bit rusty and needs some tlc. my problem is the end can seems loose,not by much but you can see the rivets arent tight.When ive been out on it you ...
