Replacing Big End Bearing / Oil Drive Pump On Piaggio X9 500

Hi, Sorry to go against the grain by posting a thread for one of Piaggio's 'unsung' heroes. I quite fancy a big auto scooter and have been offered an X9 500 at a good price. Engine starts and runs, BUT, the big end bearing and oil drive pump needs replacing. Is it a big and costly job i.e. does it s...

Glovebox / Roadside Toolkit

Since arriving back from Eurolam I have managed to lose or mislay the basic toolkit that came with my GP.

Re: NO MORE MESSY EXHAUSTS

Camcoat also did a MSC pipe for me as well last year - cost about £110 as I recall.

However, the more items that are brought in as 'one job' the cheaper the cost.

Jet 200 exhaust choice.....

Am contemplating running a JL3 snail pipe or a 42mm AF reverse clubman.

It is my understanding that it is problematic fitting an aftermarket pipe to Servetas owing to the position of the stand - is this correct ??

Jet 200, 12v conv, GP crank, GP cylinder + SX 200 cyl head

Engine is completely standard..... Aiming to change standard carb for a Mikuni TMX 24 + JL3 snail or AF 42mm reverse cone exhaust. Can I use the standard 20mm manifold ? Can I run the carb 'open mouth' with panels ? Or would it be wise to utilise the standard air box ?? Any chance of 'ball park' jet...

Re: QA / QR Throttles

I already have one of SLJ's QA throttle wheel's on my Jet and GP standard bars - and it works a treat....

However, it doesn't work on 'dropped' bars - hence my posting.....
