Re: Suzuki 190

thanks everyone, I will update you on progress. This is a new project , also got a GT186 on my GP so have got something for when in a hurry. Use the scoot about once a week for getting to work and for pottering about on with the occasional longer trip.

Re: Suzuki 190

Thank you, I have a few more options I had not considered. As I understand I can use the 175 barrel with TV175 piston and get head reprofiled. I dont have the piston from this but have the barrel and head OR I can get the 175 barrel rebored to 190, use the cylinder head which came with the 190 barre...

Re: Suzuki 190

thanks that sounds like a potential option.

Would I need to do anything to my 175 barrel for it to work with the 60mm stroke /115mm crank? that previous owner had fitted

Re: Suzuki 190

Thanks for the replies fellas. Olliewtf tuned the cylinder to run with 28mm reedvalve and jl3 exhaust. It was a very fast, thirsty and revvy tune and looking at the cylinder he has done a really nice job. However as the JL3 exhaust has huge hole beyond fixing and I wanted to put a more standard look...

Suzuki 190

Hi, Is it possible to get 175 cast iron cylinder bored to 190 cc to fit a suzuki piston? The engine on my latest project was running a suzuki 190 with 60 stroke crank with 115 rod (or may be 116 rod I'm not sure). The set up is much too highly tuned and thirsty for my tastes and I have a cast iron 1...

Re: Noisy Engine??

Thanks all for the advice. I put a new crank in when I fitted the GT186. So today i stripped and decoked top end, and added some silicone sealant to base and head and retorqued cylinder head. Did about 20 mile spin up the A2 and all seems OK as could not see any leak and seemed to sound OK. Ollie wa...

Noisy Engine??

Hi, Noticed my engine seemed noisier than usual on way home from work. Running GT186 with AF Clubman, 25 mm Dellorto. Its been faultless so far. i thought it may be exhaust blowing as it seemed bit pokier than usual as well as noisy. Checked exhuast when I got home and all fine but I did notice very...

Re: How hot is too hot?

Thanks GP240, yes it's got oil, no pinking, kicks over fine, checked the squish when I did it and it was ok although cant remember what it was....it does seem to be running nice and plug nice and dark brown, think wil try knocking timing back a tad.
