Thanks for the reply Ian, would I need to buy a particular grade aluminium to make the packer and liner from as I was thinking of removing top of barrel above exhaust port and make wider fins with extra length for the stroke.
cheers

Re: confused.com - what woukd you go for?
Ts1 is total over kill for what you are after. Cast barrel with good midrange tune clubman exhaust, 26mm carb will hit 75 plus. Good tuner would be RS for this type of motor, just up stroke or fit agusto for more torque .Fuel economy would be quite good and should be reliable.hope this helps

Re: TS1 Sprint/race engine, pics of porting in progress.....
I used a 2001 cr250 ignition set up which has about 10 degree range and was very easy to fabricate to make fit, the reason i chose this route was due to the accessibility of a programmable cdi which incorporates power-jet functions etc. The main benefit was improved response at lower revs and cooler...

Re: TS1 242 DEVELOPMENT
Hi Darrell, it would definitely stand a little more compression, think ignition is set to 22 with 5 degrees retard. Have you looked at the pump(mechanical) to see what effect that is having. Have used different reed block before which helped prop up torque over v-force 2. What about altering exhaust...

Re: TS1 242 DEVELOPMENT
Hi Darrel I was lucky enough to have a go on the bike in question and was very impressed by the results, it was very quick but still tractable, as this was my old engine I know the tuner in question and respect your professionalism in not naming names. I look forward to having another go when the ad...
