Re: Small block upgrade
Convert to Tv 175 if you can, most reliable set up you will ever have and it pulls 4.8 gearing better than sx200. Those cheap Ali cylinders are just trouble tbh, I've seen a m8 with Stg 4 AD kit that just keeps eating pistons and heating up on exh side recently. Altho i dont think the exh port shape...

Re: 58 or 60mm crank?
It depends on how you approach fitting your cylinder tbh, if it's a quick bolt together then it would be 58 x 107, if you're planning to get best out of kit then maybe 60 x 110. There's plenty of info on here to give you a clue to a fast reliable lambretta

Re: Which Kit??
Can't beat a genuine TV175 set up, pulls the SX box better than a 200 all day long. I still rate the GT 200 as best all round kit out of box

Re: Avanti woes
Not far wrong with blow back from lack off seal on inlet side diagnosis, You can check insitu with dial gauge but make sure it's solidy mounted. I would take crank out nd check tbh as you will find tiny specs of nikasil all over internals of engine especially seals.

Re: Gt186 carb and exhaust
Can't fault GT kits at all, Ignition systems i can! Recently built a 186 for Lambretta lad with Fran race 30 mm hitting 20 hp 16tq just bolted on, it also topped out at 65 mph and will sit there all day long. It has a little more power to release and Will be tweaked in due course . Also have my own ...

Re: TSR Evo pipe
Heading to Dutch lions rally, I've dropped the front sprocket to 15 with SX200 box with pipe nd it flies, pulls in top from 30 mph topping out at 75 mph with GT 200 kit bolted on oh and it sips fuel approx 50% less than avanti which will get same pipe on soon
