Re: Burnt out Clutch

What do you call high hp?
Af cassette is not my choice, lth is good as is bgm one as I've recently fitted to avanti sprinter .
You can run st 4plate with right springs and prob get 2 years out of it as fond on our Rt @ 27hp motor.

Re: Furry oilmagnet, Knackered SKF 6305C3 bearing

Just goes to show what metal can do in a chaincase, you probably screwed the bearing with the ginding paste you made. Its not unusual to use a large shim, however the endplate can only fit where it does unleashed you have a spacer under it, Personally i uswest skf bit of European manufacture Is that...

Re: ive lost 8mph

You have to tune kit to get best out of fran super Tourer from my experience, the 225 kit i tweaked to work with it originally hit peak power at 6 k and went nowhere . It now pulls to 8.5 k with little drop in tq I had a rt230 myself a few yrs back, bolt on with jl4 it ran well with good spread of p...

Re: Tsr Evo pipe any feedback please

Ran one for 18 month on GT 200 kit, ticks every box for me which is. Power delivery, non leaking stub, wobbly tail can and aesthetics.
Just fitted one on Avanti, as tail can on existing is worn but no chance to ride yet.
What set up are you using and what's on it now ?

Lamda v Afr on home brew load dyno

After acquiring an absorption dyno some time ago, which basically provides resistance by air to give load on the unit and measures true road mph, if its over geared and doesn't have the power the speed will not increase unlike inertia dynos. I also have one those for development work. I've now added...

Re: Time for a change.

Re: Super reliable long distance euro tourer

Agree with Adam to a point, my current set up of 4 plate clutch, GT 200 kit (carry spare piston ) with evo pipe seems to be best set up in terms of grin factor, reliability and fuel consumption although a std ts1 set up is just as good
