Re: Speedo

I have had 500 trouble free miles so far with my metal MB set up and 3 hours faffing and 0 miles trying to set up an SR nylon pair on my S2. I had some trepidation about the all metal MB set up but so far so good. Mixing nylon and metal feels like it might accelerate wear on the nylon part but who c...

My Vijay Super

I picked this up last year as a project that had been painted but not built. Part way through the rebuild I decide to go for a full Indian spec which I'm quite pleased with. All the NOS SIL rubber wear came from SR: new, but it needed a lot of work to clean up! Unfortunately I don't now have the spa...

Re: Rev Counter for S Type

Warkton - thanks for the comments. The krober ones certainly look the part and I like your view on the historical context. As it happens I have actually gone down the route that mawso suggests and ordered a koso gp analogue one which does look very tidy. I had a good chat with Jon at http://digitals...

Rev Counter for S Type

I'm building an S Type and my leg shield toolbox looks the perfect spot to fit a rev counter. Question is, what type? My scooter is a 67 SX150 so the look is sixties street racer, not eighties metalflake, and I want a rev counter that looks correct for the period. I'm not too anoraky: an analogue on...

Re: carb pouring fuel out

Thanks goldeneye, but your shed is safe.

Fitted new gaskets, washers and float needle and all is well again.

The new needle is actually sprung whereas the old one isn't. Whatever, it's fixed :)

Wiring Lights: relay question

I'm a bit of an electrical numpty so some advice would be welcome... I'm planning the wiring for the Pathfinders on my S Type and I'm using the Allstyles diagram as a reference point: http://www.allstyles-lambretta-vespa.com/acatalog/spot_wireguide.jpg My issue is that I want one switch for each lig...

Re: carb pouring fuel out

Thanks for the replies.

I've just ordered a £12 refurb set with new gaskets, needles, float etc so I'm going to give it a full service as a starting point.
