What type of paint

What type of paints are there to use out there? Is it only 2 pac? I'd like to paint my scoot myself to save bucks, but I'm hearing a few horror stories ie: toxicity or 2-pack + novice = horror.

Thanks for the replies, I'll find a 3mm plate for the job. Minority, where do you man a 1mm gap?

Clutch outer plate sits too high

Can anyone advise if this clutch plate is sitting too high in the clutch basket? It's abolutley flush with the rim, and having misplaced my copy of Sticky's manual, I know he was banging on about it in there. Engine is a s1 case with innards from a GP 150 SIL. http://s1326.beta.photobucket.com/user/...

Help! Turning mudguard advice?

Help! can anyone post a pic or manual diagram of how a wintermodel s2 turning mudguard fix to the fork stem? Bought one off Scootrs, but can't get no instructions from them. I know about the brackets I have to weld, it's just the top bit.

Ta,

Re: Fitting a winter mudguard

Thanks, for that, but I was also thinking of the ring height (never mind the girth)

Fitting a winter mudguard

I've ust taken delivery of a SCOOTRS winter-model type turning mudguard. Quality looks good, but I do wonder if it's been hand-beaten. I'll scrape some paint away soon and see if there's any filler surprises. Anyway, a coupla questions: -can anyone send me the correct dimension for the spacer ring t...

Buggered clutch?

Ok. After building my 1st engine, rode for a couple of months but always had trouble finding neutral. Even though I adjusted the cable, problem persisted, and sometimes sat at lights with the clutch held in (not good I know). On the last ride, clutch started slipping all over the place and the kicks...

Re: TV 185 NEW PROYECT

Er, how effective is ankorwax? I preseume that's what's used here? Does it give a rust-free seal, or does it have to be applied regularly? Just don't think I'd want to leave a scoot in this condition. :)
