have heard conflicting reports about running in or not, you can get the polishing effect on your rings if you take it too easy to start with , is this correct ? previously the piston was holed due to jetting issues which has been resolved now....jut dont want to knacker the barrel as its taken me ag...

yes dave it was light grey...odear this sounds expensive!..well gonna whip the barrel off and have a look and see the damage.
