Having a few issues with my S3 Li. It's got a 175 conversion, scootrs exhaust and unfortunalty a 22mm jetex. It starts and runs fine but i get a stuttering at certain throttle settings. i'm concious of how much trottle i'm giving it as i have rebuilt the engine. So say if i'm doing around 35mph in 4...

Got the scoot back together now for re-test on Saturday.
But i'm about to embark on my next project, SX 150, anytime soon so i will bare this in mind.

No mate.
It looks ok, no obvious damage/bends and it look exactly the same as another pair i had loafing about.
is their a specific means to check for a bend other than a good eyeballing?

Took wheel and fork to Rayspeed for them to have a look.
He spotted that one of the fork links looked 'out'
So, after a bit of tweaking it's all back together. MOT re-test on saturday.

Ok, a quick update.
Just had forks out again and with the wheel sat in the forks without the nuts, the wheel is nice and square in the forks.
As soon as i start to tighten the nuts it pulls the wheel to one side making ot off centre.

Ok i will check that out.
They are the original links and i took them to a shop to put a new buffer kit in because my link compressor was crap.
It wasn't cheap either!!

I mean its not central in the forks. Its slightly tilted over to the right.
Its a drum assembly.

I will check the link bolts are in line but need to get the links out first.
Im sure that the links are a matched pair and they are Italian. Doesnt mean that they're not damanged though.

P.S. Is there a Lambretta spares shop on the A64 going towards Scarbough

Not sure about that mate, will have to check tomorrow. Iv'e got another set of forks in at the minute and it still looks slightly offset. If the top of the wheel should be at the 12 o clock position, then my wheel just sits slightly past it, just past 12. Same with my in law's S3 LI. All bearings an...
