Re: Squish too large?

I agree with Holty. 1.2 would be a good target. I always thought that a large squish would give a cooler running engine but that wasn't the case with my bro's polini. We were shocked at how much cooler a lower squish runs.

Re: Vespa wobble

Small wheels and quick steering geometry make scooters very agile in town but on the open road handling gets interesting to say the least! Even after years of scooter riding it still takes me time to adjust after riding a motorcycle. I hope you stick with it!

Re: Vespa wobble

I've never ridden a 946 but things to check; Tyre bulge or damage. Buckled front wheel. Buckled back wheel. Re: Mag flange all the same?

Mine was the same. Being paranoid about overheating an expensive engine I tapped the headcowling over to fill the gaps as much as possible. Not pretty but it put my mind at ease!

Re: CHT Meter

Mine is on a gt240 below the cylinder head nut furthest from the fan. The wire comes out of the spark plug hole in the cowling. For me the temp is a relative thing. Uphill against a wind in fourth at low revs I can see 170 plus degrees, in normal speedy riding it can be anything from 135 to 165. Whe...
