Re: Casa "Jimmy" exhaust 48mm conversion on a 230cc motor.

Now then now then :) Morning all, I'm in a discussion regarding a Casa "Jimmy" style exhaust. I am building a 230cc engine for a friend who has decided he wants to try one of these exhaust's but converted to a 48mm downpipe. Has anyone done this or know of anyone who has done it as we'd be...

I spoke to the chap with the Gianelli snail, he's now selling it for £65 07794471930

He also said he's got the JL snail for sale which is has done less than 1000 miles, not sure how much he wants for it though.

Hi,

I'm not sure to be honest, though I was impressed by how well it fitted compared JL snail that came off before the Jimmy contraption...

I'll ask the chap who brought it - he may have got it off e-bay. I'll keep you posted :)

Re: Casa "Jimmy" exhaust 48mm conversion on a 230cc motor.

Ok - I advised him not to but, He sent the Jimmy pipe to a dealer who modified a 48mm clubman, sort of like a VW kind of look, but with the Jimmy tailpipe fitted.... Man, it sounded way too loud....... but the scooter had loads of poke.... In the end I've taken it off and fitted a Gianelli snail whi...

I need a wiring genius to help me on this one.....

Evening, I need some advice on wiring options for my TV2. I know it's a ball-ache but I want it to look as original as possible, but more than happy to convert parts to suit. 1/ all the wiring will be as original specification, Loom - U.K battery 6v, 3 pin brake light switch - late CEV rear light, l...

30mm Amal MK1

Morning all,
I'm looking for info on setting one of these carbs up on a Rapido 225.
Can I use a standard throttle cable with it and what choke cable would you recommend?

Cheers.

Great stuff, thank you for your replies.

I can safely show him the replies to convince him not to go down that path.

Re: Casa "Jimmy" exhaust 48mm conversion on a 230cc motor.

That's what I thought Ricspeed, Though you do hear of people who chop and change exhaust's so they look better or perform better than they did, like Casa have done a standard box with a 42mm downpipe on it to give it a bit more power. My thought's would be to use at least a 48mm Avanti exhaust due t...
