And the good news toay is I got a new V5C back from DVLA. Although it was off the road for nigh on 30 years they still recognised the registration as assigned to my scooter. So change of colour, cc, address and all is good. Upwards and onwards. Thanks for the kind words.

Thanks - was a bit worried because it wouldn't stall when I blocked the exhaust. Quite a bit of black stuff coming out of exhaust slip joints, so I've re-assembled the exhaust with copper silicon. Engine now stalls when i block the exhaust, so I think I now need just to burn off the assembly oil and...

Cheers Robbie -- It's fixed but I didn't want to weld because it had all been painted. I fixed it in place with JB weld, then drilled and tapped it. Put a couple of bolts in then remove as much metal as I could - then touched up. It looked Ok, but is now hidden anyway. So all good.

Looking really good. Just a question about the three hole engine mounts- I was lead to believe these are mounted with the bottom hole at 6 o'clock? Sure I read that somewhere? Hmmmm..
