I had my SS180 dyno's at Scooterotica last year and set up lovely. However it tends to foul plugs every now and then. Headlight bulb flickering
The headlight bulb on my SS180 flickers on and off for a second or two, especially when the revs are increased. I've tried both a regular bulb and a halogen. I've also checked the wiring in the handlebar as well as at the rectifier and battery and no loose connections.
Any ideas?

How do you test the rectifier?
Would someone be able to tell me how i can check my rectifier.. I'm pretty sure its shot as after a 100 mile run the engine died (GS160 battery assist model). Once a fully charged battery fitted, it ran fine again. But before changing it to a solid state regulator I need to know how to I check this ...

What type of metal?
Does anyone know exactly what type of metal the metal on either side of the handle bars are? (the gear change and switch housing)? The original items too, not remade ones...
