Re: Mugello PHBH26

I run a home ported LI150 barrel bored out to 64mm with a 60mm crank. I use a 26phbh with remote filter and new AF 42mm clubman. Jetting is as follows:-

Main 115
Pilot 50
Atom AV264
Needle X13 2nd clip
Slide 40
Choke 60
Float Vve 250

Runs great, always found X2 needle way too rich.

Andy.

Re: Race Rapido 200 options

What about Asso 70mm piston. Thin rings and full length skirt. That would bring the inlet timing down a bit on the Race barrel. Just bought one for my Classic Rapido 200 barrel, @ £90.

Re: Ron Moss - Avanti TT3 - Cylinder Kit - Review & Test....

This is not supposed to be inflammatory but had a good look at the Avanti TT3 kit yesterday in Allstyles. Not seen one before in the flesh and i was surprised (to put it lightly) at the finish on the exhaust port. If I had the £500 to get one I would have liked to have seen something finished a bit...

Re: Imola running out of steam.

Try a 100/80 x 10 tyre on the back first. This is like going down 1 tooth on the front sprocket. If it works you could go down to 15 tooth sprocket with a streched 80 chain and your 47 crownwheel. This gives you 5.3 : 1 instead of the 5.0 : 1 you are running now.

Re: Piston options for 186cc reed valve cylinder?

I dont think it matters what barrel you use. A std lambretta has a combined con rod length and piston compression height of 146mm (107mm conrod + 39mm compresion height). Std TV 175 is 116mm + 30mm = 146mm. This is the measurement you need to get if you dont want to take anything off bottom of barre...

soullad wrote:Admiral - you need to find out what the compression height is for the RD 350 piston. Then you can work out what rod length / crank / cylinder machining best suits your intended set-up and pocket.
RD350 piston has 36mm compression height.

Re: Piston options for 186cc reed valve cylinder?

as above Yamaha RD 350 piston (64mm bore) www.ebay.co.uk itm YAMAHA-RD350L ... 33697b18f0 Not sure what rod you'd need though - possibly standard 107mm I have just done a RD350 piston conversion on a SR175 barrel using 60 x 107 crank. I got 3mm taken off base off barrel. I think the TV 175 used a 5...
