I used to have 21bhp on my old ts1 set up,this was on the mk4 taffy pipe,35tmx and a touring tune on the barrel. Engine now stripped. The crank clutch side bearing is loose in the crank case and is spinning, causing excessive side play on the crank. Found the crank webs have been cut about for increased inlet duration,so I'm assuming it's out of balance. Engine mounts are original Piaggio soft type, so I'm thi...

I'm now thinking there must be a fairly standard fix for this problem. I'll post up some progress reports over the coming weeks

The vibrations were there before and after the engine build, so I'm thinking engine mounts and handlebars first .It could be possible that it's another crank issue,but as suggested I think I'll do the obvious first .

Yes there's a fair bit of play on the gear change and throttle ,so we'll look at that firstly, there's bad vibes coming through the seat area too.Both shocks are new and exhaust is tight, in all fairness the scoot is really a up together .

It's had an engine rebuild since he's had the scooter but no bushes have been changed.I'm no vespa tech so any info on bushes would be great Paul .
