Re: Vega on steroids

As an owner of one of those myself I have a bit of mixed feelings of what you did with it. Its a good idea but the Lui was sooo well preserved... Wasn't there the option of another one in horrid condition? Its just hard enough to come across with them with the original paint. Other than that, I hop...

Re: Vega on steroids

Great to see something out of the ordinary. Does it take much engineering to get the engine to fit? That seat looks expensive...... :bigsm: I didn't do the work myself, so I dont know how much work was involved. The original engine mounts were removed and a lambretta one was welded in. The frame wa...

Vega on steroids

In the late 80@s whilst stumbling along a windy sea front of a forgotten coastal town, I came across two candy apple red lambretta vega's and instantly fell in love with the styling. I madew a promise to myself then that one day I would own one for myself. Fast forward 20 years and one drunken night...

Re: My new company vehicle

Lovely job. Something on the front might even it out a tad. I used to have magnetic stickers on my scoot saying "scooters wanted". It worked, I pulled in a few scoots because of it, but , underneath the magnets, it caused the paint to rust. Is there any problems with rust under the vinyl ...

My new company vehicle

Some of you might have read my last post (my struggle) thanks for the kind comments. About half way through the build I'd had an idea to use it to promote my business. We build exhibitions stands and I thought it would look good if we could brand it up so that it looked like a cross between a works ...

My Struggle, (first time resto job)

On my 16th birthday I bought a vespa 50 off my mate and slapped some "L" plates on. I asked him if I needed any lessons and he said "yes, dont f*#k with lorries". With those words of wisdom ringing in my ears I set off, spending the next few years happily riding round on a number...

Re: Eurika (I hope)

I've stripped it and re built it already, although its not quite finished yet.(I have got some more photos, which I'm just waiting to up load to the Lambretta archive website) I was planning to use this as a bit of a trial to see what sort of problems I encountered and suss out availability of parts...
