When i had mine on the dyno i tried it with the fillter direct on the carb, then changed the fillter to fit on a elbow, the elbow cost me 1 BHP, which when your not starting with much is alot.

The old girl gets a realworld 70mph out of her 200 muggy with a 28mm delly and KBA clubman [14.6bhp on chiselspeeds dyno] but to get this i had to lift and widen the exhaust port & shorten the inlet side of the skirt, it wont pull more than 65mph with me on it, iam just a tad heavy,r .

All muggys [apart from the 186] are very tame in standard form, its a pity they dont make a 225 version of the new 186, i,d buy one tomorrow , but they wouldnt sell any Monza,s then, so that wont happen .

I understand that the U Bend that is used with the RS Clubmans is made from 2 pieces .... The one Ralph made for me had a one piece U bend, as did both of my mates, but he may have made some two piece ones, who knows what he,s made apart from Ralph, they are not all the same either, he used to shor...

I havent seen Indian big bores with that extra tail pipe support before, but that doesnt mean its not one, but i have seen Ralphs pipes with them on, he also used to reduce the seams on pipes, like the one in your pic, i dont suppose you know if you have the correct U bend, if you do and its a RS pi...

If money allows you can buy a 66mm Asso for about £60, a better bet IMO.

running a monza 225 with 35mm tmx,dev tour.thinking of droping down to a 30mm delly anybody any idea of what kind of power drop i can expect,if any. Mine,s a different set up to yours but it may be of some use to you as regarding dropping carb size, RB230, TMX35, Franspeed pipe, i dropped to a TMX3...
