Re: Serveta Colours

I'm not sure if there are any codes available. When I restored mine I found some original paint under the horn cast and had it matched. The internals were an even bigger source of mystery. They painted them all sorts of weird and wonderful colours. There's a Serveta owners group on Facebook, someone...

Now you mention it, mine went the same way when the rings were gummed up. Certainly worth a look.

Re: New 200 sil engine case availability

The price they're at now, it's worth considering one of the new manufacturers.

The pay and conditions of the average UK worker are certainly heading in that direction so you could be right.

Re: Having a moan

Almost all scooter spares come from Europe or the far East. That means they're priced in Euros or Dollars. Since the EU referendum the pound value has crashed so they've all got more expensive.

My wife's business buys as lot of stuff from the states and the exchange rate is killing her.

Re: ScootRS

As someone who used ScootRs from when they first started, I have nothing but praise and good experience, it's a shame if they have gone. They brought some good stuff to the market, the most notable been the outboard hydraulic disc to the masses at a sensible price, metal inside legshield gloveboxes...

Re: ScootRS

Even if they are still trading the state of the pound against the dollar is so poor at the moment that their stuff is no longer the bargain it once was. Remember that if you get hit with import duty as well, thats even more expense.

Re: Sorry mate, I didn't see you.

As regular London commuter I can honestly say that I have never seen a greater collection of total c***s than the average London cyclist. The fact that the streets aren't filled with dead cyclists is a miracle given their suicidal riding. Every day I see bicycles riding between two moving lorries or...

Re: Sorry mate, I didn't see you.

Echo all of the observations made by all above + I made a lane change to avoid a massive pothole on 6th avenue a few weeks ago and an unmarked cop car pulled me over and gave me a reckless driving ticket , even though I pointed out the said pot hole which was about 2 foot deep. some days you just c...

Re: No Modern Scoots on this Rally

If people think it's a more sensible option to attend a rally on a modern GTS, auto, etc then they're missing the point. Riding hundreds of miles on a Lambretta or geared/classic Vespa isn't a "sensible" option and that's the point (or it was in the past).......Doing it the hard way and p...
